The Green Walk is taking place on the 29th of March. We need some helpers to act as marshalls around the reservoir. It would involve sitting at a certain point around the reservoir and generally over seeing the walk. Type of things you may have to deal with - checking that no one is pulling down any of the treasure hunt, looking out for any lost children, reporting any incidents for example if anyone needs first aid etc. Any help would be gratefully received.

Please can you do your best to come to this meeting. The council use the info from this meeting to decide if the plans should go ahead or not. I cannot stress how important this is.

I understand that the council had a number (9?) of sites from which to choose, and they chose Thornton. Surely, for a balanced discussion, the identities of the other sites should be made public knowledge, as part of the consultation. This is not NIMBYism: those debating the issue can weigh up the pros and cons of the different sites probably as well as the council. Reasons why other sites were discarded could be provided by the council.....wouldn't this come under Freedom of Information ? Rather ...

monday 15th i was horrified to drive down the resivoir only to see a black and white cob lying on the floor tied to a fence from around its neck, it was dead looked liked it had strangled its self, it was only a foal not very old this was so cruel was there sun morn and took till mon lunch time to be removed , hope this is not a sign of things to come

I think the reasons as listed in the article are much stronger and should be given greater emphasis.
